How to download Pinterest videos on iPhone

Last updated: June 24, 2026

You don’t need an app to save Pinterest videos on an iPhone or iPad — it works entirely in Safari. Paste a pin link below, then follow the three steps.

Works with pinterest.com, pin.it and country links — videos, images, GIFs & stories.

Step by step on iPhone

  1. Copy the pin link in Pinterest. In the Pinterest app, open the video pin, tap the share arrow and choose “Copy link”. In Safari, copy the URL from the address bar.
  2. Open GetPinVideo in Safari. Come to getpinvideo.com, paste the link into the box and tap Download.
  3. Save to Files or Photos. Tap the quality you want. Safari saves the MP4 to the Files app; for images, long-press and choose “Save to Photos”.

Where the file is saved

Videos download to the Files app (look under “Downloads”). From there you can move a clip into Photos: open it in Files, tap the share icon and choose Save Video. Images can be saved to Photos directly — long-press the “Image (original)” download and pick Save to Photos.

iPhone tips

  • Use Safari for the smoothest “save” behaviour. Some in-app browsers block downloads.
  • If a video plays instead of downloading, long-press the button and choose Download Linked File.
  • Pick the highest resolution offered (often 720p or 1080p) for the best quality.

Prefer images or animations? Use the image downloader or GIF downloader. On a different device? See the guides for Android and PC / Mac.

Only download content you have the right to use. GetPinVideo is not affiliated with Pinterest, Inc.
